Amigos - Wash Your Hands Before Leaving Home!

Recent news events triggered me to recall a memorable holiday trip in 1989 that my family and I made to Phoenix, AZ where we were visiting relatives. We also planned a day's side-trip to Nogales, Mexico to shop. As we traveled south down closer to the Arizona-Mexico border, mileage signs were now in kilometers and the local McDonald's road signs read “Me Encanta!" or "I love it!". When we arrived in Nogales, AZ, as we expected, we heard only Spanish as Mexicans were teaming over all of the streets while going about their business as they busily bustled around the crowded sidewalks and streets.

Since upon arriving early in mid-morning, I now had a wife and three hungry girls who wantedMcDonald's - Nogales, AZ a quick breakfast to tide them over until we later had a 'Mexican' lunch across the border. What was the most recognizable eatery we saw? ...McDonald's of course. So we crossed the street and went inside and that's where our real experience began. The noisy crowded chatter filled the restaurant as we screamed out our meal order. Then, after finding a table, we all sat down to wait for our food order.

In the meantime, I went to wash my hands, 'Lavese Las Manos', in the men's bathroom or in the 'Bano de Hombres'. As I walked in, it was a typical McDonald's formula for 'same-o, same-o' facilities layout with a standup porcelain urinal and toilet with a toilet paper roll holder, sink and soap with paper towel dispensers. I stood up to the urinal and then turned to wash my hands with water. The soap was out, the paper towels were gone; so, I stepped into the toilet stall and took some toilet paper to dry my hands. Suddenly, it made me wretch, a stench so powerful and putrid, that I lost my appetite immediately. I had overlooked a small plastic waste basket to the left behind the toilet bowl.  It was filled to overflowing with shit covered toilet paper. Ugh!

As a fact of life, many third world countries have such poor sewage systems that human waste can barely pass through the sewer pipes much less toilet paper debris. So, they dispose of their toilet paper in trash cans which in turn spread the fecal matter germs, E. coliform bacterium, and diseases such as gastroenteritis, ear infections, typhoid, dysentery, hepatitis A, and cholera. It is a common contagion thoughout So. America, Africa and So. East Asia that kills many people annually. Any public sanitation is virtually unavailable in many outlying areas.

So why is this incident in 1989 so important twenty-five years later? Well, who do you think is now crossing over the U.S. borders in droves, numbers so large that health screenings have been tossed out? Why is this happening now? President Obama wants to claim at least one victory for his Presidential legacy that he is willing to risk the health of all American citizens for his own selfish gain. Do you ever notice that Obama never brings this very dire health warning up when talking about these unwashed illegal aliens of all ages? Is this why the Homeland Security as well as the U.S. Border Patrol has been ordered to not mention these health conditions in the holding areas for these illegals?

Why do they only show kids and not these guys and older men on the news reports? Are there any criminals and gang members? Personal cleanliness aside, on initial cursory examinations many aliens are questionable healthwise which include untreated mental disorders; overall pungent body odors; poor oral hygiene and teeth; noticeable skin rashes, scabies, and lesions; hair and scalp lice infestations; chronic debilitating vitamin deficiencies; test positives for diphtheria, chicken pox, gastroenteritis, ear infections, typhoid, dysentery, hepatitis A, and cholera.

If those physical conditions aren't bad enough, another human condition has come to light.--U.S. Border agents now complain that these illegals that are crowded in cells are not all educated or trained to wash hands, less know about sanitary practices about simple toilet training in the porta-potties. Some don't even sit on the toilets and stand ontop to urinate and defecate as if they are holes in the ground, in which many illegals are used to using back home besides throwing shitty toilet paper after wiping on the floors.

Epilogue: The old landmark Nogales, AZ McDonald's next to the international line - the one so many of us visited over the last 35 years during shopping trips to the border town was demolished in 2011 and replaced with a new store. 

I have not been back since and know the McDonald's menu has changed in all of the stores, but I don't think the clientele has changed much in Nogales, AZ. So, if I want to experience that kind of ambiance, I have a fairly better than even chance it is in my own neighborhood now thanks to the Obama illegal alien act.

Obama High Seas Confusion Dooms U.S. Trade

Obama has no military or civilian experience and no White House staff either that knows about the 'turn to Mahan' policies.  It is not clear on who is calling the shots. So now, the United States is forfeiting its dominance over the security of free world trade. A political disaster, our economy will suffer too.

The public debate over the federal budget often obscures the relation between our domestic and foreign interests. 

Such debates may often cloud democracy’s prudence by forcing a choice between immediate, easily perceptible problems and the distant,  often silent strategicObama confers with his U.S. Navy Admiral in Oval Office. interests underpinning our foreign policy. Obama, as a community organizer, always dumbs down an obvious problem with just a simple fix everyone understands while ignoring complicated underlying aspects entirely. After all, why confuse those American people with other relevant pesky little pertinent facts?

FACT: An enduring strategy that enables U.S. political and military strength through our commercial superiority hinges on naval power. As Alfred Mahan wrote, naval power often proves “more silent than the clash of arms...as influential as it is quiet."

Yet the influence of sea power on commerce and national security is almost always pushed aside each time a nation feels domestic financial pressures - it's like how Obama finances Obamacare, College Tuitions, FHA Loans, UAW Union Bailouts and Food Stamps. 

Alfred Thayer Mahan understood it. A naval officer and strategist whose 1890 book, The Influence of Sea Power upon History: 1660–1783, was a theoretical treatise as well as a history that argued for American national greatness through control of the seas.  Mahan was in his time a strong influence on politicians such as Theodore Roosevelt and on a generation of foreign-policy theorists. So today, outside of a small circle of naval officers—including Chinese officers who admire his idea that "under the right circumstances sea power is the key to national greatness"—Mahan and his contribution to the American century has been largely forgotten. Notwithstanding, more than ninety percent of the world’s trade is conducted by water, and the world’s waterways are and will remain the most efficient means for transporting goods.

The Chinese will be the main beneficiaries of Britain's and the United States misreading of the geopolitical realities of the NWF (North West Frontier provinces). The North-West Frontier Province was a former province created by the British in their vast territories in South Asia then called British India. It was established in 1901 and dissolved in 1955, after eight years as part of the independent state of Pakistan. Like the Israeli-Palestinian issue, the problems between India and Pakistan stem from the ill-conceived and poorly implemented geopolitics of the partition of the British Empire in 1948.

Afghanistan's old ethnic conflict has become a proxy war for the bitter feud between the region's two nuclear powers, Pakistan and India. And the Taliban are being supported by Pakistan because the Pakistani generals fear being squeezed in an Indian nutcracker, faced with not only a massive Indian presence to their south but a pro-Indian regime to the north in Afghanistan.

As war was waged against the Pashtun peoples of the area thinking they were synonymous with Al Queda (they never were, only giving sanctuary to the Saudi intruders) - this was always an impossible war to win; and only served to destabilize Pakistan. Now besides India, what other country would want Pakistan unstable?

How about the U.S. who wants a strong ally with a growing naval presence in the South China seas? That ally is India who has its self-interest to deter threats of control by the Chinese ‘string of pearls’ strategy with ‘Deep Blue Water‘ naval subs and ships strung across the South China Sea as internal Chinese waters, over 80% under an assertion of Chinese sovereignty? - A major international waterway for more than half of the world’s annual merchant tonnage passes through as well as a third of the global trade in crude oil and over half of LNG trade. The South China Sea, bordered by eight nations, has long been considered international waters.

FYI: ‘Deep Blue Water‘  is taken as one able to operate over 200 miles from shore, in other words long range, deep water, oceanic maritime projection bringing with it sea power and control of commerce on the high seas.

The United States Navy has recognized a similar ‘blue water’ drive by another rising power, the People’s Republic of China. China’s “turn to Mahan”, referring to the theories of the American naval strategist, is similar to India’s, as is Japan’s. This brings the Chinese Navy out into the Indian Ocean, with China’s ‘string of pearls’ strategy across the Indian Ocean.

"Accordingly, Indian strategists and pundits fret over the prospect of a Chinese “string of pearls,” a network of naval bases encircling the subcontinent. Many view commercial ports such as Colombo, on Sri Lanka, or Gwadar, in western Pakistan, as the makings of a string of pearls. The good news from the Indian or American standpoint is that converting a commercial port into a full-blown base is a major undertaking, unlikely to escape the notice of watchful rivals. For one thing, Beijing would have to convince the host country to permit such a project — at the risk of antagonizing India, the regional heavyweight. Negotiations might attract attention. For another, Mahan notes that the hallmarks of a naval base are position, strength, and resources. Many prospective pearls occupy opportune strategic positions, to be sure. But most of them also lie within easy striking reach of the Indian Air Force, not to mention the U.S. and Indian fleets."

Over two-thirds of a century, since the end of World War II, have encouraged us to take for granted that the oceans are safe for navigation.  The U.S. Navy has created a status quo that we now believe is natural, and we take for granted the origins of this liberal regime on the water - this era can turn ship on a dime! So then Look out for a challenge to America’s influence on the ocean and it won't be friendly - Don't expect the United Nations to monitor and protect international shipping lanes commerce either!

Chinese Navy Strategic Doctrine: The modern People's Liberation Army Navy (Plan) is largely the creation from the 1960s of one of modern China's most powerful generals, Liu Huaqing. He laid down a much-quoted 'blue-and-green water' strategic doctrine.

At first, China should develop a 'green-water active defense': It would protect relatively shallow, thus 'green', territorial waters and enforce China's sovereignty claims in the Taiwan Strait and South China Sea.

In the second phase, General Liu argued, the Plan should develop a 'blue-water navy' - capable of projecting power into the far blue yonder of the Pacific and Indian oceans.

Just before his retirement in 1997, Gen Liu published an article insisting that for this second stage, it was 'extremely necessary' for China, as it became a major trading power, to have carriers to protect its commercial sea lanes.

‘Blue Water Navy’, politically, is long range extension of a state’s presence, in which theObama's Navy Ship U.S. Navy in 2013 now shrunk size below China, the leader, to take a second rate "also-ran" status as the U.S. continues to further drop down under to "Lead from Behind" as outlined in the Obama foreign policies. The U.S. seems to be heading to a ‘green water navy‘ status. 

‘Green Water Navy’ refers to a border perimeter patrol in a country's coastal waters only, leaving international seas and traffic lanes to the United Nations' oversight and protection.

 NOTE: I sure do hope that as the 21st century progresses China will allow the U.S. to pay its 'U.N. shipping tariffs' so it can ship and receive the permitted measured "international allotments" for goods and services in and out of our ports according to United Nations' Gross National Products guidelines! ~ Or will we retain our own U.S. national sovereignty to secure our own economy?

Our United States Presidents had learned firsthand about our military readiness and understood from their service experience on what it took to be in the world's largest military force before leading it.  Take a look at them as they proudly wear their uniforms before becoming the Commander-in-Chief of the United States..

 

Obama's Global Toilet Talks

Washington Capitol DomeThe United States has been the leading nation to defend the cause of freedom around the world by putting out fires set by revolutions, territorial disputes, war-mongering despots, religious zealots and bellicose dictators around the world. The United States of America has been the world's firefighters around the globe.

Backed up by our robust U.S. military and advanced weaponry the President is the most powerful head of state in the world today--peace through strength.

So how did we relinquish our status to putting out fires into becoming the world's fire hydrant?

Everyone is now claiming they're the best and head the throne. Ever feel like a fire hydrant or toilet in a room full of dogs? Get pissed on, shitted on and then your President's real tough talk campaign rhetoric turns into groveling with bowing, scraping the floor while meekly asking, "Can't we all just get along?" Even now, just to get Iran talking further with Kerry about any nuclear arms agreement, Obama had to bribe Iran with $7 Billion in unfrozen sanctioned assets--boy, that's real hard wheeling and dealing, NOT! 

Community Organizer & Chief, Obama, has woefully learned a hard fact of life about the big, bad world outside the Washington D.C. beltway. Countries have no respect for weak-knee leadership with feckless, gutless policies. During both of his Presidential bids, Obama often evoked his own 'Rough Rider' President Teddy Rooselvelt's resolve. Like Teddy Roosevelt so famously said, "Walk softly and carry a big stick."--apparently Obama only had his 'limp noodle'.

An old adage: "It's better to be Pissed off than Pissed on!"

Factoid:  Roosevelt’s first famous public use of “Speak softly and carry a big stick” was in a speech at the Minnesota State Fair on September 2, 1901, when he was serving as Vice President of the United States under President William McKinley. He linked it in that address to the Monroe Doctrine, the longstanding U.S. policy against interference of European countries in the affairs of countries in the Western Hemisphere.

Roosevelt said: “There is a homely adage which runs ‘Speak softly and carry a big stick – you will go far.’ If the American nation will speak softly, and yet keep at a pitch of the highest training a thoroughly efficient navy, the Monroe Doctrine will go far.’” 

President Netanyahu - Vision for Peace is his Alone

A young Bibi Netanyahu fighting in the Israeli army certainly adds a contrast to a young Barry Soetoro pot smoking, coke toking, cigarette smoking and booze guzzling under the palm trees of Waikiki beach in Hawaii.  

Now, Bibi is 61 yrs. old and Barry is 52. Each has lived an entirely different lifestyle. That life experience has added to their global moral clarity. In order to command respect from leaders when planning foreign agenda objectives into negotiations; inexperience, indecision and inaction undermine a leader's ability to command respect and the authority to ask others to follow his lead. As Obama has stated many times, "The United States is not an exceptional country." He prefers "to lead by following" along behind other world nations in lock-step to decision making and actions. Sovereignty is not an issue under a global community umbrella, because borders should not exist as we all are here only for the good for all peoples. Obama's policies are leaving our nation bereft of allies as well as fearful enemies. No one actually takes Obama seriously anymore after all of his empty rhetoric and threats. Obama probably even sees himself finally as a 'lame duck' President, especially after the upcoming 2014 elections. 

And so it appears that Bebe Netanyahu is not just a contrast to Obama but the antithesis, a diametric opposite to the Obama global vision for the United States. After fighting in wars defending Israel, declaring his nations a unique entity on the world's stage and jealously guarding Israel's sovereign borders against hostile neighbors his actions are patriotic, nationalistic and morally sound.

The backhanded Obama assessment about the current Gaza conflict is that Israel has a right to defend itself and go in to take out tunnels and artillery batteries and the like. However, the killing of Palestinian civilians must stop due to the increased bloodshed. That makes no sense. Hamas builds missile batteries in schools and homes within civilian neighborhoods to maximize collateral human damage for propaganda. The missiles, rockets and munitions are stored in Mosques or giant labyrinthine of underground tunnels. Obama does not mention that Egypt was offered a truce and Israel accepted, Hamas did not. 

How are Obama and his administration going to deal with all of the threats around the globe with his weak Presidency? I remember when Nikita Khrushchev gave his famous "We will bury you" speech to the United Nations in 1959. It warned about Americans are so gullible. Americans will be fed a little socialism at a time and wake up one day to Communism. I laughed then, it was 55 years ago, over a half a century.

Today, in 2014, I don't laugh anymore because I see the young Millennial generation (18-33 yrs. born after 1981) are not as astute or aware of the threats by socialism and communism. Thanks to our liberal left-leaning teachers and curriculum our young people have no civics, social studies or history classes to teach about the U.S. itself. Millennials will gladly accept all of the 'freebies' that big government offers and overlook the bill that "the tax man cometh" to your door for payment afterwards. So, as Nikita Krushchev said, "We'll weaken your economy until you fall like overripe fruit into our hands." It looks like a real good season coming up for the United States, it's ripe for the picking! 

Of course, no country can claim to be completely unique. America obviously shares many traits with other countries, but no other country is exactly like America either. The United States has characteristics that set it apart and give it a role to play—and a national identity—that no other country has. The U.S. exceptionalism that is so unique to our country is based on an idea called freedom, guaranteed by a Constitution, founded on the creed of freedom and representative democracy to represent the people. So if we aren't any more special than the next country, then why are so many people sneaking in any way they can to be a part of our great American dream?

Obama Sends Drone Out Against Putin

President Obama today was so outraged about the downed Malaysian passenger jet that he sentUkraine separatists, Putin thugs, shooting at Ukrainians.  out a drone, our U.N. Ambassador Samantha Power, to speak out at the United Nations assembly to vehemently protest the Russian aggression in the Ukraine. As she was droning on and on, Ms. Power righteously cranked up a 'blame Putin' mode so that the administration could assign blame on them entirely for this latest outcome of tragedy. If anyone really stops to  think about this mess they will realize also that the Obama foreign relations and policies contributed heavily to this region's meltdown--with no direction or actual plans for actions going forward except for military troop reductions around the world. It's no wonder that countries globally are aggressors since their is no U.S. leadership at the top to wield peace through strength.  

Samantha Power called in the strongest words for U.N. actions against Putin, including full cooperation to investigate the missile downing of the Malaysian Airlines passenger jet. If Samantha's empty rhetoric is an attempt to shame or embarrass Putin, he doesn't care about the American viewpoint of morally right or wrong. But, the opinions that do matter to Putin are by the view of Russia globally as a leading world power with the size and reach of the former USSR with a credible military presence to support their colonial aggressions of nearby countries, i.e. Estonia, Latvia, Crimea and more. So, it's more like fear mongering to forcefully join Russia or suffer insurgencies and ultimately war--and there won't be the U.S. or NATO to protect you either.
