Obama Omen Tolls Death Knell

February 24, 2009 -- In a joint session to Congress, President Obama says: "So let there be no doubt: Health care reform cannot wait, it must not wait, and it will not wait another year."

Subsequently, the voters were constantly deluged with torrents of disingenuous, mainstream news misinformation. (lying, mud-slinging smear propaganda)  Here is a classic example from the far uber-left-wing-nuts, Peter Soros funded MoveOn.org website, Media Matters for America:

August 19, 2009

After repeated debunking of "death panels," conservative media backtrack to "de facto death panels"

Just as former New York Lt. Gov. Betsy McCaughey backtracked on her false claim that the House health care reform bill would "absolutely require" end-of-life counseling, other conservative media figures are hedging their support forMedia Matters misused the word "Chyron". It is the graphics or words at the bottom of a TV screen usually unrelated to the current viewing content. The title line under the screen shot does refer to the televised image above. former Gov. Sarah Palin's false claim that the health care bill would create government "death panels" to decide who lives and dies. These conservatives are allowing that there won't be actual "death panels," but also claiming that the bill itself will inevitably lead to the government making end-of-life medical decisions, or as a Fox News chyron put it: "De Facto Death Panels." (see Chyron note)

March 9, 2010 -- Pelosi said of the Affordable Care Act, “We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of controversy.”

March 21, 2010 -- The Senate passes its version of the bill, sending the legislation to Obama for his signature.

March 23, 2010 -- Obama signed the Health Care bill into law. The Supreme Court agrees to hear a legal challenge to the law after 26 states, led by Florida, petitioned the high court.

June 28, 2012 -- The Supreme Court ruled that the individual mandate portion of the health care law may be upheld within Congress' power under the taxing clause.

June 20, 2013 -- Three years have passed since Nancy Pelosi said, "We have to pass the bill so that  you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of controversy." - Okay Nancy, what are the "De Facto Death Panels" about in the Obamacare Bill?

Nancy, now that the fog has finally lifted, let me make this answer crystal clear, "The Obamacare Board is Answerable to NO One and it is the "De Facto Death Panel" - Need proof? Ask 10 year old Sarah Murnaghan about Health & Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius who refused to waive the rules barring her access to the adult lung-transplant list saying, "No, some will live and some will die", and where a Judge compassionately intervened for Sarah to be listed to receive a life-saving transplant.

The Independent Payment Advisory Board, the IPAB, threatens both the Medicare Program and the Constitution's separation of powers.  Once the board acts, its decisions can only be overruled by Congress and only through unprecedented and constitutional dubious legislative procedures featuring restricted debates, short deadlines for actions by congressional committees and other steps of the process, and a "three-fifths supermajority" vote requirements.

The law restricts Congress on how to kill the IPAB board, otherwise it's "incapable of extermination". It is subject to a "three-fifths supermajority", and only by a vote that takes place between January 1 - August 15, 2017.

Obamacare mandates that the board impose deep Medicare cuts, while simultaneously forbidding it to ration care.  If the board fails to implement cuts, all of its powers are to be exercised by the HHS Secretary Sebelius or her successor. These actions will limit senior access to care because doctors and hospitals will limit or stop accepting patients, causing them to wait longer or forego care, the essence of rationing anyway - by simultaneously cutting Medicare and forbidding rationed care - all unintelligible "double-speak" dribble.

The IPAB's godlike powers are not accidental. Its goal, conspicuously proclaimed by the Obama administration, is to control Medicare spending in ways that are insulated from the political process.

This wholesale transfer of power is at odds with the Constitutional separation of powers architecture. It's laws protect individual liberty by preventing undue aggregation of government power in a single entity since it requires diffusion of powers vertically limited and enumerated between the federal government with the states and horizontally by dividing powers between the three branches of government.

Congress - Repeal it or Constitutionally Challenge it!

Good Morning Viet-Nam! ~ Good Night Syria!

Where are the Vietnam War Protesters Now?

Time: 03.43

WARNING: This video contains DISTURBING images - 06/17/13 Glenn Beck TV Show

We Must not get into the Syrian War! - See Why...

The Obama administration, along with PROGRESSIVE Republicans AND Democrats are OK providing assistance to the Syrian 'rebels'  ...The Farouq Brigade, the same 'rebels' who have pledged allegiance to Al Qaeda and Commander Abu Sakar who cuts the heart and liver out of their enemies and eats them.

Cut through the B.S. - Can You Stand the Truth?

Syria has thus become a part of a region-wide tussle that is essentially about the re-calibration of two interrelated balances of power: one between Iran and Saudi Arabia in the Persian Gulf; the second the overall regional balance of power between the American-Israeli axis and Iran.

Syria is merely a sideshow of these wider and strategically much more important struggles. Iran’s support for Assad and the US-Saudi support for his opponents can only be understood in the context of these larger struggles for power and influence. The resolution of the Syrian crisis is, therefore, linked to what happens in these other arenas and cannot be separated from them.

So, it appears this feckless military exercise to arm Al Queda Syrian rebels is akin to the illegal ATF program, Fast & Furious, a gun running scheme by Obama to arm the banditos. That one proved a disastrous decision due to Obama's inept judgement underscored by absolute inexperience and blind ignorance causing hundreds, if not thousands, of civilian deaths in Mexico - ready for more civilian deaths in Syria next?

Since when does Vladimir Putin, a hardline communist, President of Russia, stand up to lecture the US for its support of a group that eats the organs of their enemies? What was the answer of our "Dear Leader", Obama? What possible edicts can all-knowing, Pharaoh Obama and his American Congressional Pharisees pass down to the undeserving, unwashed, uneducated minions within the public masses?

Under the current Obama policies, since there has been no real investigative news coverage yet looking under the rocks, no volunteers will answer those questions until they are under subpoena in Congressional committee hearings!

After all of the Washington cover-ups being revealed like Fast & Furious, Benghazi, Associated Press and IRS, it is with bombastic oversized balls that Obama has another one being foisted upon the American people by its own government... again: Start the bellocose saber rattling...WE ARE GOING TO WAR IN SYRIA!

Lyme Disease Now Ticks Off Meat Eaters - Update

Up until two years ago, in 2011, I never paid any attention to Lyme disease since I lived in the western states and it was generally reported geographically in the states east of the Mississippi River. It is named for Lyme, Connecticut, a town where, in 1975, scientists discovered that an outbreak of juvenile arthritis cases was actually caused by a tick-borne bacterial infection. It was attributed to the deer tick bite, considered treatable with antibiotics within eight weeks or so with little residual side-effects. It seemed to be a minor health threat.

I became keenly aware of Lyme disease when I moved into a community in North Dallas, Texas. My neighbor living across the street mentioned one day that his young wife, twenty-eight years old, was not feeling up to par and was feeling tired and had laid down to nap. He told me that five years earlier in North Texas, during an Easter Egg hunt, a tick bite on her head produced Lyme disease.  He said that 9 out 10 Cases are NOT reported - Actual number is 10X reported. (More than 14,000 cases are reported annually) I did not realize it was so debilitating.

The Wall Street Journal article below is an update to my blog on January 23, 2012 article:  ObamaCare - Lyme Disease Care Ticks Off Patients

Tick bite leaves people allergic to red meat.

Bites from a voracious tick known as the Lone Star are leaving some suddenly allergic to red meat. Health reporter Melinda Beck and Dr. Scott Commins, University of Viriginia assistant professor of medicine, explain. Photo: Science Source.

If Lyme disease isn't reason enough to avoid ticks, here's another: the inability to enjoy a burger.

Odd as it seems, researchers say that bites from the voracious lone star tick are making some people allergic to red meat—even if they've never had a problem eating it before.

The Lone Star Tick

  • Scientific name: Amblyomma americanum
  • Common name: Lone star, due to the white spot on females' back
  • Habitat: Wooded areas with thick underbrush
  • Natural hosts: White-tailed deer, wild turkey
  • How to avoid: Steer clear of wooded areas; wear pants tucked into socks; use tick repellent on skin and clothing; check gear, pets and body thoroughly
  • How to remove: Use tweezers, gripping as close to the skin as possible

The allergic reactions range from vomiting and abdominal cramps to hives to anaphylaxis, which can lead to breathing difficulties and sometimes even death.

Unlike most food allergies, the symptoms typically set in three to six hours after an affected person eats beef, pork or lamb—often in the middle of the night.

The bite that seems to precipitate it may occur weeks or months before, often making it difficult for people to make the link.

Cases of the unusual allergy were first identified at the University of Virginia at Charlottesville in 2007, and are now being reported as far north as Nantucket, Mass., and on the east end of New York's Long Island.

"It's a huge problem out here," says Erin McGintee, a pediatric and adult allergist in East Hampton, N.Y., who says she knows of more than 70 cases and sees several more each week. "I've been trying to get the word out—but there are still a lot of people who don't believe it," she adds.

Tony Piazza, a landscape designer in Southampton, N.Y., first woke up in the middle of the night gasping for breath and covered in hives six years ago. Emergency-room doctors at Southampton Hospital gave him intravenous antihistamines and said it was probably an allergy, but they couldn't determine the source. The same scene played out two or three times a year for the next few years, Mr. Piazza, 49, says.

"I was afraid that the next time, I wouldn't wake up," he says.

He noticed that the reaction occurred every time he ate lamb for dinner, even though he had never had food allergies before. Then it happened with steak and then hamburger. "I swore off red meat completely and the reactions stopped," says Mr. Piazza. When he heard about the tick connection, it made sense, given his work. "I get ticks all the time," he says.

Six hours after eating a burger, Robert Herrmann of Southampton, N.Y., began itching all over. 'My whole body just felt wrong.'

U. Va. allergy specialist Thomas Platts-Mills discovered the tick connection serendipitously—while investigating why some cancer patients had severe allergic reactions to the drug cetuximab in 2006. Blood tests revealed they had pre-existing antibodies to a certain sugar commonly known as alpha-gal, which is present in the drug and found naturally in mammalian meat.

Curiously, only the cancer patients from the southeastern "tick-belt" states had the allergic reaction. And as U. Va. researchers checked for the antibodies to alpha-gal in their (non-cancer-stricken) allergy patients, the same geographic pattern held true. What's more, some had reported having allergic reactions hours after eating beef, lamb or pork.

The researchers began routinely asking all their allergy patients about tick exposure. "We would have people routinely pull down their socks and show us these massive tick bites on their ankles," says Scott Commins, another U. Va. allergy specialist.

Dr. Platts-Mills himself returned from hiking in the Blue Ridge mountains in 2007 with his ankles covered in tiny lone star larvae. His blood soon tested positive for the telltale antibodies to alpha-gal. A few months later, he ate lamb for dinner at a meeting in London and awoke at 2 a.m. covered in hives. "I went back to sleep, pleased that I had another case to report on," he says.

The researchers surmise that the delayed allergic reaction occurs because alpha-gal is most concentrated in animal fat, which takes several hours to digest.

That seems to be how the timing worked for Robert Herrmann, an environmental consultant in Southampton, who remembers a fall day in 2011 when he had eaten at McDonald's for breakfast and Burger King for dinner. "Six hours later, to the minute, I was lying in bed and suddenly had a really bad itch on my head, then my armpit, then my side," he says. "I told my wife, I know this is crazy, but you have to call an ambulance. My whole body just felt wrong."

Like other sufferers, Mr. Herrmann had trouble getting doctors to believe him. "They said, 'There's no such thing as delayed anaphylaxis. Nobody had ever heard of it."

Drs. Platts-Mills and Commins still haven't conclusively proven that tick bites trigger the creation of the antibodies. Nor do they know whether something in the natural saliva of all lone star ticks causes the reaction or whether the ticks are picking up a pathogen from other hosts and transferring it to humans.

But evidence of the connection is mounting. To date, the U. Va. researchers have collected blood samples of more than 1,000 people with antibodies to alpha-gal, from Texas to Massachusetts, who report the delayed allergic reaction to red meat. The doctors have presented their research, funded by the National Institutes of Health, at allergy conferences and in a half-dozen medical-journal articles. In a study in the journal Pediatrics last month, they describe 45 children with similar symptoms in allergy clinics in nearby Lynchburg, Va.

No fatalities have been reported to date. But Joe Shields came close. Last September, the 40-year-old Keswick, Va., resident starting breaking out in hives many days around 5 p.m. At a conference in Atlanta, he passed out. "I felt like I was having a heart attack," he says.

It took two more trips to emergency rooms before Mr. Shields learned about the red meat-tick bite connection. He'd gotten hundreds of tick bites while clearing trees around his home in August. He regularly ate cheeseburgers for lunch—and had had bacon, sausage and creamed chipped beef, "a mammalian-meat overload," for breakfast in Atlanta.

"I'm sure other people are experiencing this and they don't understand what's going on," he says.

Experts say such tick-triggered red-meat allergies may well have occurred, unnoticed, for decades. But they also think such cases are increasing as the population of lone star ticks grows and expands, along with its natural hosts, white-tailed deer and wild turkey.

"It's very early days in this research—the tick connection was completely unexpected," says Susan Little, a parasitologist at Oklahoma State University who is supplying the U.Va. researchers with lone star ticks, as well as blood samples from dogs with and without tick exposure, for further study. Dogs sometimes develop meat allergy too, and typically react with itching, skin lesions and hair loss, Dr. Little says.

And lone stars may not be the only tick carrier. Sheryl van Nunen, an expert in anaphylaxis at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, Australia, has identified more than 400 patients with delayed reactions to red meat who had been exposed to another type of tick, Ixodes holocyclus, which feed on bandicoots, a type of Australian marsupial. Other meat-allergy cases, linked to other ticks, have been reported in Spain, France and Sweden.

Experts don't know why some people who are bitten by lone star ticks develop the antibodies to alpha-gal and others don't. But cases do seem to run in families. "I have a father-daughter pair, and a mother-son and a couple of sets of cousins, so there is probably some kind of genetic component," says Dr. McGintee.

How much red meat is needed to cause a reaction also varies widely. Some patients react strongly to pork sausage or lamb, but can eat lean roast beef without having symptoms. Others react even to chicken sausage in pork casing or to marshmallows and gel-cap vitamins, since gelatin is made from animal byproducts.

The good news is that the allergic reaction seems to fade after a few years in some sufferers if they avoid additional tick bites.

Others keep getting bitten and have sworn off meat for good. "I dream about eating steak," Mr. Piazza says. "But I wouldn't take the risk."

No Rights for 100% Privacy & 100% Security in USA

PRISM allows the NSA and FBI to tap "directly into the central servers of nine leading U.S. internet companies, extracting audio and video chats, photographs, emails, documents, and connection logs that enable analysts to track foreign targets." This data mining allows content acquisition of various information sources called "Metadata". This is then aggregated into a composite that characterizes general patterns of behavior for individuals which will indicate whether their activities are deemed violations under the Patriot Act subject to secretive surveillance.

PRISM was legally authorized in the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, FISA Act. Unlike the warrantless surveillance programs under George W. Bush, which preceded PRISM, this program is under the purview of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, FISC. "PRISM works with another NSA program to encrypt and remove from the analysts' screen data that a computer or the analyst deems to be from a U.S. person who is not the subject of the investigation." If an analyst wants to keep on monitoring or analyzing the flagged data stream, a FISC court has to sign off.

National Intelligence Director James Clapper says the program is covered, specifically, by Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, FISA, then notes, pointedly that "activities authorized by Section 702 are subject to oversight by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, the executive branch, and Congress." What's more, he says, that statute was "recently reauthorized by Congress after extensive hearings and debate."

NOTE: The potential for devestating abuse of power by the Federal Government is great since the "special" FISC court system gives absolute discretion to the Attorney General for obtaining information with or without a warrant from a judge - it's a one-man pony show under the executive branch of government.

A "Surveillance Warrant" called a "FISA Warrant" is made before an individual judge of the FISC court. Like a grand jury, the FISC is not an adversarial court: the federal government is the only party to its proceedings. The court may or may not allow third parties to submit briefs.  If the Attorney General determines that an emergency exists, he alone may authorize electronic surveillance This can be before obtaining the necessary authorization from the FISA court for any employment of electronic surveillance.

Anthony Romero of the American Civil Liberties Union isn't impressed. "A pox on all the three houses of government," he tells The New York Times. "On Congress, for legislating such powers, on the FISA court for being such a paper tiger and rubber stamp, and on the Obama administration for not being true to its values."

In a June 7, 2013 a press conference, President Obama said our telephones were not being followed, but  failed to mention emails and Internet activities too.  Obama asked to believe him and the Federal government agencies to follow the Patriot Act guidelines while protecting our first amendment rights.

Obama Withdraws Troops to End War on Terror

Golly, if I had known that to end any old war was as easy as to just take the troops home out of harm’s way, I would've come around much sooner to vote and support President Obama. I guess it is way too late to ask, "Just who elected him and made him the President of the United States and Commander-in-Chief anyway?"  Oops, that really happened for real too and not only once, but twice! I really want to bring a glaring point up that Obama's grand plan is not so grand.  It's probably going to fail before it ever takes off due to his inexperience with our military issues, limited support from his political appointees and his own Pollyanna, feel-good rainbow that Obama has for all-things Muslim.  Read on...

According to the Obama White House, the word "terror" is used in the generic sense, not referring to "terrorism" or "terrorist act". The choice of words is not a trivial matter in White House parlance, and the word "terrorist act" has an historic and specific meaning. Obama spoke in the Rose Garden on Sept 12, 2012 about the Benghazi Embassy Attack:

  • "Since our founding, the United States has been a nation that respects all faiths.  We reject all efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others.  But there is absolutely no justification to this type of senseless violence. None. The world must stand together to unequivocally reject these brutal acts." (No mention of "terrorist act")

Obama on May 25, 2013 outlined the next phase of his administration's counter terrorism efforts, the admission of standing down our aggressive military posture towards terrorism by withdrawing troops from the middle East, limiting drone surveillance and weaponry which was like chanting a surrender call from the highest minaret. Again Obama missed the bigger point since everyone involved knows it is not a geographical area, it is the whole world that you must withdraw from to get away from the Islamic terrorist threat. His willful blindness to Global Jihad further emboldens Muslim Islamists to move from their present strategy of a slow, steady overpopulation infusion overcoming societies to now speeding up further attacks by their militant jihadists for even more violent insurrections to beat the infidel societies into submission under Sharia Laws.

Sharia Laws are so compatible to our founder's American principles too.  They treat women as submissive chattel with no rights to vote, drive a car, own property, attend school or who expect little in return for their societal self-worth soley dependent on what their husbands decide and any homosexuals treated as deviates who will be summarily beaten into submission to Allah or be stoned to death. How ironic for women's rights if Employers under Obamacare had a woman who is single and pregnant, then refused health services unless she is married under Sharia Laws or be stoned to death as an honor killing

The United States War on Terrorism is about a Holy War, a Jihad, that is ongoing until the last breath is taken by the Islamic Muslims.  The undeniable dangerous paradox is Obama understands their fanatical plot to destroy us and Obama placates them instead of destroying them - "Go figure?"

On that query: What have you figured out?  If Obama always excuses his scandals by not knowing anything by saying, "I just read about it in the news today myself", then my gut reaction asks:

"Who else or what group is really making the U.S. global decisions about theseUSA - A Muslim Nation! ...Uh, Really?? worldwide Islamic terrorists? Or will that answer virtually come out of thin air like a Barack Hussein Obama did, literally an unknown with sealed college records, a bleak jobs resume, yet raised a $1 Billion war chest as a blank entity to defeat career politicians, then change the fabric of our country and it's destiny forever while leaving everyone still scratching their heads on really who or where is this Obama guy from anyway?" - "Say what?"
